Instructions for Use

Important: do not use impulse™ in conjunction with anyother amino acid containing products (e.G. Csl, ‘hydros’).Use impulse™ dosed baits within 24-48 hrs of preparation depending on storage conditions and temperature. Once applied, impulse™ has a similar shelf life to a ‘raw’ product like a hydroslate but in its bottled form its shelf life is indefinite providing it is sealed and kept away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

Remove the cap from above the smaller dosing chamber. Be sure that the cap atop the narrow neck section of the bottle remains tightly secure.

Slowly squeeze the bottle to fill the dosing chamber to the 10 mL line.

Dispense the required number of 10 mL doses of Impulse™ to your bait of choice. See below for individual recipes.

Popular Applications

  • Pellets & Boilies

    Lightly coat pellets or boilies with Impulse™ at a rate of 30+ mL per kg of bait.  Increase up to 60+ mL per kg for flowing water or winter applications.


    Tips: Once applied, pellets can be dried and stored in a sealed container for later use. Dedicated hook baits (boilies, maize etc.) can also be soaked in a glug comprising up to 50% Impulse by volume. We recommend using a atomizer.

  • Groundbait

    Add 3+ x 10 mL doses of Impulse™ to each kg (~2.2 lb.) of groundbait for still water use. Increase up to 6+ x 10 mL doses per kg for flowing water or winter applications.


    Tips: Use an atomizer or other sprayer to evenly distribute the Impulse throughout your finished groundbait. Most atomizers dispense ~1 mL per ‘squirt’, but this should be confirmed before use.

  • Sweetcorn

    Add 3 or 4+ x 10 mL doses of Impulse™ to a standard tin of sweetcorn, or use 1 or 2+ x 10 mL of Impulse™ with a small tin of corn. Refrigerate overnight for next day use.


    Tips: Add a similar volume of concentrated flavor to the corn for added attraction. Feed ‘little and often’ when fishing.

Making a Bait Soak

Expander Pellet soak & ‘Groundbait water’

A diluted solution of Impulse™ can be used as either a bait soak for expander pellets or as a direct wetting agent for dry groundbait

Preparation: Dilute Impulse by a factor of x8 with water. Use this solution to soak expander pellets or to directly wet groundbait from dry. Increase up to double stated amounts for flowing water or winter applications.

Examples of dilutions:

Note: Less porous ‘hard’ particles (e.g. hemp, tigers, maize) may also be prepared, and then left to soak in, the liquid described above.
